Snezhana Mick
Permanent makeup artist · Judge, PmuSkills Competition · Lavagna, Italy
Snezhana Mick has worked in aesthetics and dermopigmentation for over ten years, most of that time in the treatment room rather than on stage. That is where her working principle comes from: a good result does not transform the person sitting in the chair, it brings out what is already there.
Different face, different features, different answer.
She treats training as continuous rather than finished. By her own account she has attended more than a hundred courses, online and in person, on the reasoning that anyone who evaluates the work of others has an obligation to keep studying and to keep questioning their own habits.
She creates and teaches her own permanent makeup method.
Why she judges at PmuSkills
Snezhana chose PmuSkills for the way the scoring works. Entries reach the jury fully anonymised: no name, no profile, no academy. When she scores a piece of work she does not know whose it is, and that is the condition she asked for.
In her own words, what she wants to see is the entrant’s preparation, her decisions and her personality — not her reputation.
What she looks for
Technique. Cleanliness. Harmony. Precision. Respect for the model’s own features.
And one thing beyond the checklist: the identity of the artist. Work that could have been made by anyone scores differently from work that could only have been made by one person.

Disclosure
Snezhana Mick is the Italian ambassador for Podium Pigments and has spoken at congresses organised by Global Permanent, the group Podium Pigments belongs to, which also runs its own international PMU congress and championship.
PmuSkills states this openly, because a verdict is worth exactly what the process behind it is worth. Every entry reaches the jury fully anonymised: no name, no profile, no academy, no brand. Judges do not know whose work they are scoring, and no commercial relationship — existing or under discussion — gives access to a jury seat or influences a score. The judging fee is paid by every judge on identical terms, and it is a separate transaction from any sponsorship.
